Evelina Dobraceva - sopran
Semion Skigin - piano
Evelina Dobračeva has been known to the audience of the Opera Rara Festival for her shocking performance in Schoenberg’s Erwartung in 2018. Endowed with a powerful, dramatic and dark voice, she was the dream performer of the murderous part in this opera monodrama. This time, the artist will perform songs from the opposite emotional pole, requiring expression of a completely different kind, revealing the more lyrical side of her musical personality. While constructing this year's programme, she decided to go with the songs of three giants of Russian Romanticism: Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and Sergei Rachmaninov. The vocal miniatures filled with tenderness, nostalgia, images of nature, changing seasons, as well as ardent and tender confessions will take the audience back in time to the 19th-century salons of St. Petersburg and Moscow.
