Tessa Capponi Borawska

Born in Florence (Italy). She has graduated from the faculty of Modern History at the University of Florence. She has been living in Poland since 1983. She taught the history of Italy at the Department of Italian Studies of the University of Warsaw between 1990 and 2014. She started to publish articles and books about cookery in 1991. She edited the culinary section for Elle monthly magazine (1994-2005), and she still cooperates with Twój Styl magazine. She has also published for Kuchnia monthly magazine as well as some daily newspapers such as Gazeta Wyborcza and Rzeczpospolita, as well as for W Drodze monthly magazine. The author of the books Moja kuchnia pachnąca bazylią (My kitchen smelling of basil) and Dziennik Toskański (Tuscan Diary). She has translated (together with Małgorzata Jankowska Buttita) the most famous Italian cook book Włoska sztuka dobrego gotowania (Italian Art of Fine Cooking) by Pellegrino Artusi.
