Le Concert de l'Hostel Dieu is an orchestra playing on period instruments, who gives about sixty concerts per year, which are mainly devoted to the 18th century European Baroque repertoire.
They are frequently invited to perform at international festivals and venues. The performances of the Concert de l'Hostel Dieu are always marked by a modern and dynamic approach to the baroque repertoire. Many of them involve different artistic disciplines. Innovative forms are developed and interfaces are created between oral traditions and 'classical' repertoire. In short, their artistic choices are bold and original.
In 2017, they celebrate their 25th anniversary. The orchestra will be touring China and Singapore for the first time. Three new recordings will also be released.
Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu’s projects are funded by DRAC Rhône-Alpes, Auvergne Rhône-Alpes regional council, Lyon city council, ADAMI and SPEDIDAM.
