Pianist, accompanist and chamber musician. He performs at many of the UK’s major venues, and has collaborated with leading artists, including Danielle de Niese, Kiri Te Kanawa, Thomas Allen, Brindley Sherratt, Sally Matthews and Kokoro Ensemble. Recent highlights include live TV and radio broadcasts for BBC, Sky Arts and Classic FM, and recitals at Wigmore Hall, King’s Place and Snape Maltings. His competition successes include the accompanist prize at Kathleen Ferrier Awards. Matthew has worked as a répétiteur at Glyndebourne Opera House since 2012. In this capacity, he has worked on a huge variety of repertoire, from Handel and Mozart to Strauss, Janáček and several commissioned works. He has performed with London Philharmonic and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment as a pianist and harpsichordist. Matthew read music at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, where he held the post of organ scholar. He continued his studies at Royal Academy of Music, with Michael Dussek and Pascal Nemirovski. Since graduating in 2012, he has been made an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music and is a member of their teaching staff, working with both singers and pianists.
