Helena Poczykowska

Alto specialising in performances of early and contemporary music. Her repertoire covers the most important oratorio works by Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as well as a broad range of 17th and 18th century opera parts. She devotes much of his artistic activity to chamber music, performing vocal works ranging from Josquin Desprez to Arvo Pärt. Her repertoire also features song recitals.

In 2008, she graduated with honours from the Academy of Music in Krakow in the vocal class of Prof. Agnieszka Monasterska. She perfected her vocal skills under the direction Prof. Ingrid Kremling, as well as during expert courses on early music interpretation conducted by Jill Feldman, Claire Lefilliâtre, Charles Daniels, Jan van Elsacker and Peter Kooij. She gives concerts in Poland and abroad, sharing the stage with outstanding conductors, such as Andrew Parrott, Philippe Herreweghe, Vincent Dumestre, Konrad Junghänel, Ottavio Dantone and Fabio Bonizzoni, as well as with ensembles, including Collegium Vocale Gent, Le Poème Harmonique, Capella Cracoviensis and Musica Florea. She also participates in prestigious musical events and festivals, including: Misteria Paschalia and Opera Rara in Krakow, Dramma per Musica Baroque Opera Festival, Olavsfestdagene in Trondheim, Svatováclavský hudební festival in Ostrava, Händel-Festspiele Halle, Festival de musique Baroque d'Ambronay, Utrecht Early Music Festival, Festival de Sablé. During the 2017 Misteria Paschalia Festival, she took part in the world premiere of Antonio Draghi’s “Il terremoto” opera sacra (directed by Benjamin Lazar) under the baton of Vincent Dumestre.
