Przemysław Borys

Graduate of the Vocal Faculty of the Academy of Music in Wrocław in the solo signing class of Prof. Bogdan Makal and Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg in the class of Prof. Elisabeth Wilke. Holder of the Erasmus scholarship in Hochschule für Musik in Dresden. Graduate of post-graduate studies at the Vocal Faculty of the Academy of Music in Wrocław. Winner of numerous prestigious awards and distinctions, including the Grand Prix of the 3rd International Competition for Young Singers in Kaunas, as well as a special prize in the Jan, Edward and Józefina Reszke Vocal Competition in Częstochowa, Amber String at the 1st “Belcanto Per Sempre” Festival of Italian Opera Music in Włocławek. He was also a finalist in numerous competitions and contests, including the Giovanni Martinelli and Aurelian Pertile International Singing Contest in Padua and the “L'Orfeo di Claudio Monteverdi” International Vocal Competition in Verona. The singer worked with excellent conductors, giving concerts in Poland and abroad, including in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Romania and China. For six years he has been cooperating with the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic as a soloist, performing in a number of opera, operetta and musical productions, including Georges Bizet's “Carmen”, directed by Beata Redo-Dobber, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte” directed by Jarek Marszewski, Johann Strauss’ “Die Fledermaus” directed by Andrzej Bubień, Giuseppe Verdi’s “La traviata”, Stanisław Moniuszko’s “The Haunted Manor”, Chris Williams’ “Korczak”, Jerry Bock’s “Fiddler on the Roof” directed by Robert Skolmowski and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” directed by Wojciech Kępczyński.
